Exhaustion log, day…something.

Television repairs for a system over half its lifetime will cost $220. The new TV only cost $400. Guess I’m buying a new TV and selling the old one on Craigslist, with the note “Hey, the power supply is bad, the audio loop craps out in 30 minutes.”

Now it’s back to Netflix, but that means more attempts at PC speakers. I picked up some Altec Lansings, which sound nice and project well, as well as having a nice small profile.

Only problem? They don’t reach the output. By about four inches. Whoever decided 5 feet was enough to reach from a desktop to the other end of the monitor may consume and proceed to asphyxiate on a phallus, or perhaps a sack containing a large number of them. If my computer were on the right side of the desk (not possible really, given the build of this desk), it’d be fine. But being on the left, no good unless I use my 7 foot 1/8th extension cable. So I can spend $5 more for another, or try to find another set of speakers. I’m not sure what I’d prefer, seeing as this is only a temporary solution to begin with. Maybe I can trick the sound card into reversing the stereo channels so I can swap the speaker positions. That’d work, at least.
